Strawberry Shortcake Protein Balls

Soft, creamy protein balls with real strawberry flavor and a hint of vanilla — like strawberry shortcake in every bite. No baking, just mix and chill.

Ingredients

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (~30 grams)
  • 2 tbsp almond flour
  • 2 tbsp finely crushed cookies (Golden Oreos or graham crackers)
  • 1/4 cup crushed freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup or honey (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1-2 tsp almond or oat milk for texture (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed cookies as garnish
  • 2 tbsp white chocolate chips or vanilla icing (optional, for drizzle)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the protein powder, almond flour, cookies, powdered freeze-dried strawberries, and salt.
  • Add Greek yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Mix until a thick dough forms.
  • If too dry or crumbly, add milk 1 tsp at a time.
  • Roll into 8–10 balls and top lightly with crushed cookies.
  • Optional: Melt white chocolate chips (microwave in 15-sec intervals, stirring between each) and drizzle over the protein balls. Let set before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.

Notes

Pro Tip: For the best strawberry shortcake flavor and texture, use a mix of almond flour and crushed golden cookies — the cookies add that classic shortcake sweetness while the almond flour keeps it balanced and protein-packed. Chill the dough for 15 minutes before rolling if it feels too sticky.
